about

"10 years after the completion of his first album, L'Omaryde (released in 2013), and some collaborative projects (Cyrod & Biscuit, Poctos Octo Plus), Claude Biscuit comes back with a fascinating LP. Biscuit had always been beguiled by Japan and Taoism. In 2013, after a burnout at the library of Part Dieu in Lyon and following a love encounter with a Japanese, he left France for Tokyo and stayed there for one year. With the idea of dissolving his cultural roots and melt in another culture, looking for anonymity in a very complex and different social context. A scenery that seemed almost fake, almost a waking dream. But man, this is reality ! All along his residence, with his dictaphone, Biscuit has recorded ceremonies, some urban atmospheres and other precious sound testimonies that will be the foundations of drafts he will then work on and develop. The result is Tadaima, a captivating synthesis of mutant pop wave songs, dreamy anthems and spatial ambient, the kind-hearted report of a man's feelings about a crucial part of his life. Many years, few songs. But what songs. "
